Sounds and Pressure Sound System + Scorcher present the 4th 1970 Reggae Soul Revival weekend @ Westcoast Bar, 3-5 King St, Margate, CT9 1DD. Accept no substitute - the original, the biggest and still the very best original skinhead event of them all. As previous years we will once again bring you a selection of the great names from 60’s Jamaican music. We’ve brought you Dave Barker, Derrick Morgan, George Dekker, Pat Kelly…. so who will it be this year?…. watch this space and find out….

Top draw reggae and soul selectas, Sounds and Pressure Lo-Fi Sound providing the bass to shake up the place, vintage record, clothes and memorabilia stalls, chill-out daytime session with open vintage turntables and valve sound system, plus Eli’s legendary Jamaican food. And never ones to rest on our laurels there are going to be few surprises this year to make this the best quality event we have ever held.

The date is absolutely firm, so book your digs and travel arrangements now. We have always had a great following from our European/worldwide friends, and so to help anyone travelling into the UK and to keep their costs down, we can offer to advise on the cheapest and best ways to travel from major airports, etc. This year we can also offer to co-ordinate pick-ups from airports, etc. If you can offer a lift or need to be picked up, then drop us an email and nearer the time we will start putting people in contact with each other.

A few words about our guest DJs this year:

Mark Wilson been operating out of Leicester for many years and is well known to most of you. His Liquidator nights rank amongst the best nights around on the original skinhead scene and he is also involved in running many soul and motown events/niters locally. Puts his money where his mouth and is damn nice bloke as well….

Sugar Merchant is a proper old style MC with an unmatchable sound system pedigree going back many years. Heavy duty Ska collector - expect fireworks on the night….
